VET 224 — Clinical Methods II

/3 contact hours The student will study surgical nursing and anesthesiology in this course. They will learn the administering and monitoring of anesthesia, surgical assisting, record keeping and preparation/ maintenance of the surgery room and instruments as well as any other topics related to essential American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) skills assigned to this course. Part or all of this course will meet at an off campus location. Technician utilization and team concepts of health care delivery will be covered. This course must be taken concurrently with VET 225. Veterinary Technology program. Core fulfilled: None
