In this highly applied course, students develop the skills and confidence to work with a range of information systems and technologies, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Students learn how to apply and integrate common features across applications and format quality business documents. Given that the management of information and documents is crucial in a business context, students learn the basics of data security and file management techniques. They also explore how databases work and how to query data to support business needs. Throughout the course, students develop the strategies, confidence, and initiative necessary for continued learning in the dynamic world of business technology.
