This course will assist the student in understanding the factors that contribute to criminal behavior in order to determine appropriate intervention strategies. Emphasis will be placed on origins of criminal behavior, aggression, psychopathy, crime and mental disorders, homicide, and sexual assault. Biological, psychological, educational and situational factors are examined to assess behaviors, patterns, and motivations.
