103 www.cmcc.edu 2026 • 2027 Justice Studies (JUS) (ALSO AVAILABLE 100% ONLINE) Program Description The Associate in Science degree in Justice Studies is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution. The program provides foundational learning in criminal justice and related social sciences and serves as a foundation for studies in several areas, including social services, advocacy, community development, law, and corrections. This program expands upon the strengths of the existing A.A.S in Criminal Justice and is designed to meet the following goals: (1) provide students the opportunity for in-depth study in preparation for continued undergraduate studies; (2) utilize the interdisciplinary contributions of sociology, law and psychology that are relevant to justice studies; (3) examine how these contributions have shaped public policies
