Description Prospective students for advanced placement must be transferring from another nursing program or have at least one year nursing experience as an LVN in a healthcare setting. Acceptance for advanced placement is contingent on available space in the program. To progress in the program advanced placement students must earn a minimum grade of C/pass in all nursing and other required courses. The LVN to RN graduate is eligible to take the National Council for Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and upon successful completion become licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
