BARB 103 — Advanced Shaving and Facial Services 5 Units (AA/AS) 70 lecture hours, 70 lab hours

This course is a continuation of BARB 102 and includes advanced theoretical knowledge and techniques in shaving and trimming of the beard. Shaving shall include but is not limited to the following techniques and procedures: Preparing the client's hair for shaving, assessing the condition of the client's skin, performing shaving techniques, applying after-shave antiseptic following facial services, massaging the client's face, and rolling cream massages. Trimming of the beard utilizes clippers, trimmers and shears while considering facial shapes.
