CIS 120 — Introduction to Computer Applications

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to business application software and foundational computer concepts used in a business computing environment. Emphasis is placed on hands-on experience with full-featured productivity tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Students also develop practical workplace skills related to professional email etiquette, calendar management, scheduling, and the effective use of collaboration tools, preparing them to work efficiently and responsibly in a variety of professional and technology-related settings. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course.
