FIRE 215 — Hazardous Materials Technician Manipulative Skills
Successful students will learn to perform as hazardous materials technicians, in a lab setting. They will learn how to respond to hazardous materials / weapons of mass destruction (WMD) incidents using a risk-based response process by which they analyze problems involving hazardous materials/WMD. Students will select applicable decontamination procedures and control a release using specialized protective clothing and control equipment. Incident termination will include following industry accepted practices and documentation while maintaining scene control and safety.
