(Sp) The Medical Lab Clinical Procedures II course is designed to develop a basic knowledge of skills and practices of the medical lab assistant. Emphasis on the performance of Phlebotomy, CLIA waived laboratory tests, and medical microbiology cultures. Topics include specimen collection, phlebotomy, specimen processing, record keeping, universal precautions, infection control, quality control, immunology, serology, and transfusion medicine
