CHIN 101 — Elementary Chinese I: 3 Credits (3 Lec)

(F) Elementary course designed to help students acquire basic language skills in Mandarin: reading, writing, listening, speaking. Introduction to Chinese writing systems. Emphasis on establishing correct pronunciation and grasp of grammar. Cultural perspectives such as greetings, simple dialogues are introduced.
