COUN 592 — Independent Study: 1-3 Credits (1-3 Other)
(F, Sp, Su) This course offers graduate students an opportunity to engage in individualized, faculty-supervised research or advanced study in counseling. Students design and complete a focused scholarly, clinical, or applied project aligned with their professional interests and program objectives. Emphasis is placed on independent inquiry, critical review of counseling literature, ethical and culturally responsive practice, and the integration of counseling theory, research, and practice. Course content, learning objectives, and evaluation criteria are established collaboratively by the student and supervising faculty member prior to enrollment Repeatable up to 6 credits.
