() Spring, odd years. This course addresses safety of the highway system as related to design, construction, and operations. The course provides an overview of the various elements of the highway system namely, road users, vehicles, roadways, and environment as related to safety. Apart from the introduction, the course is structured in three distinct components that represent the sequential stages in highway life; i.e. design, construction, and operations
