(Sp) This course covers the economics of international energy markets. You will learn and apply economic models to understand markets for oil, gas, coal, electricity, and renewable energy resources. Models, modeling techniques, and issues included are supply and demand, market structure, futures markets, climate change, other environmental issues, energy policy, energy regulation, energy conservation, pros and cons of different energy sources. The course will include data analysis, economic forecasting, game theory, and optimization
