SOCI 325 — Social Stratification: 3 Credits (3 Lec)
(F) This course will provide students with an overview of research on race/ethnicity, social class, gender/sex, and sexuality as social categories from a sociological perspective. Students will learn how these concepts are defined and redefined in society. This course will give students a basis from which to use a critical eye to view inequality along these dimensions in society and how they intersect. Assignments are designed to ensure students critically engage with the texts, develop writing skills, and encourage them to consider the consequences of living in a socially stratified society
