CIS 203 — Computer Systems and Procedures

This course presents the principles of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC): systems planning, analysis, design, implementation, and operation/support. Students apply systems analysis skills, techniques, and concepts by analyzing case studies. The role of the systems analyst in developing IT (Information Technology) projects such as a payroll system, a student information database system, or a health care system is discussed. COURSE NOTE: Eligibility includes the completion of nine (9) credits in CIS elective, including a progamming language, as well as the prerequired coursework as indicated.
