SOC 212 — American Society and American Identities

This course examines the social construction, historical contexts, and intersection of social class, race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity, primarily in American society. In this course, students will also explore how these identities affect them in their daily lives, and how they can better understand people of their own or different backgrounds. This course is only offered in the spring semester. Course fee.
