BIOL 119 — Plants, People, and Ecosystems Lab
This is a one-credit laboratory course that reinforces many of the concepts covered in the 3-credit Plants, People, and Ecosystems (BIOL 109) course. In the lab, students gain practical hands-on knowledge of plants while they study a variety of topics and techniques important to plant science, such as plant identification, plant anatomy, plant reproduction, plant life cycles, plant ecology, and data analysis. In doing so, students develop an understanding of scientific inquiry and basic research, and gain insight into how plants are important to people and ecosystems.
