CMSY 106 — Managing and Maintaining PCs and Mobile Devices II
In this course, students will gain the ability to install and configure operating systems including Windows, MacOS, and Linux. They will learn how to physically secure hardware and techniques for mitigating vulnerabilities in software. Special emphasis will be given to troubleshooting and documentation using best practices, as well as implementing policies that cover change management, disaster recovery, and safety procedures. The application of strategies of inquiry and exploration in finding information to assemble a purpose-built computer is a critical course component. This course, along with CMSY 105 , prepares students for A+ Certification offered by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
