RADT 116 — Radiographic Procedures/Positioning I and Medical Terminology

This course continues the study of anatomy, radiographic procedures, image analysis, and radiographic pathology in greater depth. Radiographic examinations of the abdomen, lower extremities and pelvic girdle, humerus, shoulder girdle, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spines will be discussed in a classroom and practiced in a skills lab setting. Students will have supervised use of energized equipment in the skills laboratory. Students will practice patient positioning, radiographic image production, image processing, image analysis, image archiving, and image retrieving. Students will complete a minimum of 18 skills lab simulation competencies under direct supervision of a registered technologist.

Prerequisites: RADT 106, RADT 108, BIOL 203, MATH 138
