RADT 117 — Radiographic Image Production

In this course, students will develop the skills necessary to set exposure techniques, produce diagnostic radiographic images, and critique radiographic images for proper exposure techniques. Fundamental image production concepts including exposure technique selection, image quality and characteristics, image receptor exposure, image processing, and image evaluation will be discussed. The discovery of x-ray, and major millstone events and global forces that shaped radiography will be reflected. Patient and occupational radiation dose management, and dynamic imaging are introduced. Contents are designed to establish skills for radiographic image production, processing, and evaluation.

Prerequisites: RADT 106, RADT 108, BIOL 203, MATH 138
