CERO1650 — OTA 1650 Review Session

0 credits · 0 hours

Students will review information learned in The Growing Years: Birth to Young Adult class to reinforce learning to help successfully complete the course. Students will learn the major developmental disabilities across the lifespan and how a disability adversely affects the development and engagement in life roles (i.e.: student, sibling, friend, etc.). Theories of human development and occupation will be linked to provide a deeper understanding of the acquisition of functional skills and social roles of children birth to 21 years of age. Occupational assessments will be explored and relevant treatment techniques will be reviewed. Learning about treatment delivery models of children with disabilities will emphasize naturalized environments and family centered models.
