OTA1630 — Fundamental Skills of OT II

Students will build upon the knowledge gained in OTA 1530 to further develop skills necessary for professional practice. Advanced application of the following skills will occur: treatment planning, task analysis, documentation, and evidence based practice. Professionalism skills of advocacy, inter and intraprofessional communication, and cultural awareness will be discussed. Additionally students will be introduced to practical skills of checking vital signs, basic transfers, range of motion and goniometry. Prerequisite: OTA 1530 with a grade of C or better. J spring.
