PHE2470 — Defensive Tactics/Law Enforce
Students are given the knowledge, skills, and abilities to defend themselves during physical altercations while staying within the proper force/level of resistance matrix. Defensive tactics, mechanics of an arrest, transportation of prisoners, and searches are emphasized. Demonstration of learned skills by students is required. Eligibility: student must be current Chautauqua County Sheriff's Academy recruit. New York state certified police/peace officer may be accepted with approval of the academy director.
