This degree program prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a baccalaureate degree in an area of the social sciences. The social and behavioral sciences examine the development and activity of human beings both as individuals and in society. Disciplines in the social sciences include anthropology, history, global studies, political science, economics, geography, criminal justice, psychology, and sociology. JCC’s social sciences curriculum is an excellent transfer program since it parallels the first two years of most baccalaureate liberal arts programs.
