This 80-hour course covers information related to many commonly prescribed medications. Students learn the classification, side effects and techniques of administration, including preparations and accurate distribution of medications. The safety of clients in long-term care will be discussed and demonstrated by students. Clinical practice sessions will be conducted in a long-term care facility.
