PSY 286 - Social Psychology PSY 286 - Social Psychology Social psychology is a systematic introduction of theory and research on the ways social factors influence individual and group behavior. It is a field that examines attitudes, social perception, and the establishment of norms, conformity, leadership, group dynamics and research methods, emphasizing their effects on the individual. Thus, social psychology is the integration of theory and empirical research as they relate to: research methods, attitude formation and change, social cognition, interpersonal relations, group processes, and social influence.
