An introduction to 3D solids modeling and printing software. Students build a prototype model using SolidWorks software and print a 3-D model to explore the basic size and look of a product or machine part. Orthographic drawings with dimensions are also produced for part building using traditional machining techniques. 2 lecture/2 laboratory hours
