MLT212 — Clinical Hematology
Prerequisite: permission of program coordinator. Study of blood cells in bone marrow, peripheral blood, and body fluids. Normal and abnormal blood cell maturation, physiology, and morphology are examined along with coagulation, another branch of hematology, involving hemostasis (the stopping of blood flow). The laboratory component develops technical skills used to perform hematology and coagulation lab tests. 3 lecture/3 laboratory hours
