NCABTCS011 — Pervious Concrete Certificatio

0.8 credits · 0.8 hours

Pervious Concrete Certified Technician Certification through the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA). This program provides students with the knowledge of the advantages and benefits of the proper use and installation of pervious concrete as well as the pitfalls and problems that can occur when pervious concrete is improperly installed. Proper performance of the installation techniques improves the reliability of the finished product, both from a visual and a structural standpoint as well as its most important feature, the ability to act as a storm water management system. In addition, NRMCA Certified Pervious Concrete finishers will enjoy the benefit of being added to list of pre-qualified bidders based on the specifications being used by project developers. Students must first attend a four hour classroom course on Pervious Concrete, then will participate in a placement of pervious concrete, and finish with a review period and 2 hour written examination. The NRMCA will grant Technician certification only to those applicants who obtain a passing grade on the written examination.
