NCARTCC053 — Art Makerspace Madness

0 credits · 0 hours

"Makerspaces" have been sprouting up everywhere lately - regular education classrooms, libraries, art rooms. Any space no matter how small can be transformed into a makerspace studio. The goal of a makerspace is to give students the opportunity to collaboratively create, innovate and learn through making choices, experimenting, and playing. We will create assemblages and sculptures using a variety of materials such as LED lights, glow sticks, wood, pipe cleaners, craft foam and more. Students will be asked to bring in recyclables to add to their creations.
