Seniors availing of the discount for the first time need to register in person and present proof of birth date and current address to qualify. Students will learn foundational topics such as how to extend invitations, how to talk on the phone, express feelings, say where you're coming from, say what just happened, talk about sports, express preferences, say what you know, make comparisons, describe the weather, discuss clothing and accessories, state an opinion describe how you feel and say what is happening, identify places, give addresses, choose transportation, request directions, and give instructions, talk about shopping, purchases, talk about giving gifts, bargain, order food, request the check, talk about food, express extremes, and say where you went. Through interactive lessons and guided practice, students will build confidence in carrying out simple conversations and will develop the ability to create short presentations using the grammar and vocabulary learned throughout the course. The class culminates in a final project that synthesizes all major concepts. This course is ideal for learners seeking a supportive, non-credit environment to begin their Spanish language journey.
