A workshop series that addresses mental health awareness, recovery and self-advocacy in an urban context. Defines stress with discussion points on stress management and the practice of mental health and wellness for everyday life.Series Objectives Workshop participants will come away with the following learned experiences: . An understanding of the stressors in urban environments and the effects on mental health. . An understanding of common mental health challenges including addiction, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and suicide awareness. . Mental health and wellness management techniques to combat stress and maintain a healthy lifestyle. . Self-advocacy strategies for mental health services and crisis management.
