HMGT207 — Legal Issues in Labor Management
Introduction to the legal implications of employer/employee relations. Topics include a brief history of the labor movement in the United States, the major acts establishing the framework for labor/management relations, union negotiations, procedures and contracts, and the economic impact of unionization. Discrimination in employment, Title VII and its implications in hiring, firing, and working conditions, as well as other statutes and regulations affecting employment relations. Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
