HMS- 43 — Counseling and Resources for Older Adults and Their Families
Description: Introduction to the principles of providing resources and counseling services to older adults and their families. Emphasis on developing knowledge, skills and abilities necessary when working with the geriatric population and support systems across the micro-macro continuum. Application of theoretical frameworks for geriatric counseling as well as an understanding of how the developmental stage impacts the client, life stages, and the counseling process. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
