Social Sciences, A.S.
The Associate of Science degree in Social Sciences focuses on how human beings interact with each other in the past and present. It emphasizes, through quantitative and qualitative research methods, how social scientists develop an understanding of the ways in which humans relate to themselves and each other through beliefs, customs, organizations, and institutions. The Associate of Science degree in Social Sciences prepares students for transfer to a broad range of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts programs, in fields such as economics, geography, geographic information systems, history, political science, psychology, sociology, teacher education, and more.
