Fundamentals of Biology This course introduces the fundamental concepts, principles, and phenomena in biology with emphasis on humans. Topics include biological chemistry, cell biology (eukaryotic and prokaryotic), genetics, metabolism and energy, plant diversity, cell reproduction, microbes, ecology, evolution, and forensic biology. Laboratory exercises reinforce lecture concepts employing diverse and modern techniques to perform investigative science, including dissection and online work. This course is designed for the non-science major.
