Intro General, Organic & Biological Chemistry This course presents the fundamentals of general, organic, and biological chemistry with an emphasis on their relevance to the health sciences. Topics covered include measurement, atomic and molecular structure, gas laws, solutions, and pH. This course also introduces organic compounds and biological molecules which includes organic functional groups, carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, nucleic acids, and enzymes. The laboratory covers techniques and illustrates the chemical principles covered in the course.
