Intro to Visual Communication This course analyzes the production and consumption of visual messages, particularly those found in the media, and their impact on human communication. It combines theory and practice to explain how the human mind both processes and creates meaning from visual phenomena. This course examines the history of visual communication, principles of design and color theory, typography, the technology behind both print and electronic media, and technology’s influence on design. The course also explores the idea that images combined with text are powerful ways to inform, educate, and persuade individuals. PR: ENG 123 Fall only
