Literature and Identity This course examines the literature of a particular cultural, ethnic, or national group. The course focuses on the study of groups based on race, class, ethnicity, sex/gender, or the intersectionality of these groups. Examples of focus may include but are not limited to Asian American, Native American, African American, Hispanic, Transnational, LGBTQIA+, Women’s, and Working-Class Lesbian Literature. If you have previously taken an English or Literature course focused on a cultural, ethnic, or national group, then you may not take this course for credit unless you get permission from the Dean of Liberal Arts.
