EN G 240 Literature and Identity EN G 250 Literature Survey Secondary Program Exclusion Section 8.7 of the Academic Code provides that students may earn an additional degree or certificate provided that the secondary program includes at least 15 credit hours of requirements not in common with the primary program. Students who are enrolled in both the Human Services A.A.S. and the Chemical Dependency Counseling A.A.S. programs will need to work carefully with their advisors when choosing electives to meet this secondary program exclusion. Human Services students may be subject to a fingerprint check or be asked about criminal convictions before working in the field. Individuals who have a criminal history may have difficulty obtaining a field placement and/or employment in the field of Human Services and may want to consult an advisor or college counselor before pursuing the program.
