Digital Music and Beat Production I This course introduces the basic music theory concepts, their application to the organization of percussion beats and music samples in varying music styles. The course also covers the organization of tempo maps, sampling, and drum beats using Avid Pro Tools software, as well as the creation of original compositions using MIDI to enhance existing music samples. Basic legal topics such as copyright, leasing, and registering original pieces of music are covered.
