Guitar Techniques This course develops basic competencies in guitar accompaniment for classroom singing. Students focus on basic guitar techniques including strumming, finger picking, scales, and chords. Students also learn basic pedagogical approaches for teaching beginning guitar. Students are required to obtain an acoustic guitar (nylon or steel strings) for class use. (This course is not applicable for students who are enrolled in Guitar Performance Concentration.)
