MUS 301 — Junior Proficiency Exam, Instrumental
The purpose of the Junior Proficiency Exam is to ensure an appropriate level of performance proficiency and content knowledge for the primary performance area of all music majors. Students with an applied area of a woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrument are expected to complete MUS 301 during their third or fourth semester of lower division applied study. Students will have no more than three opportunities to pass their Junior Proficiency. Students must continue to take applied lessons until the Junior Proficiency has been passed.
