This course focuses on basic concepts in choral and instrumental conducting, including: score reading, score interpretation, comprehensive musicianship, rehearsal techniques, and gestural fluency. Students will critically analyze and interpret the musical examples studied and how to best communicate the musical intent to their ensembles in written, oral, and gestural forms.
