COMM A241 — Public Speaking 3 Credits
Speaking skills for individual presentations. Preparation, delivery and analysis of speeches in various platform speaking situations. Includes verbal and nonverbal skills, critical thinking in selecting and organizing materials, audience analysis, informative and persuasive presentations. Special Note: Students who qualify for placement in WRTG A111 or have already completed WRTG A111 are qualified for this course. Registration Restrictions: Appropriate test score on English placement test, SAT Verbal Section, or ACT English Test will waive the ENGL A109 or WRTG A110 prerequisite.
