3 Credits This course strengthens students’ participation in academic discourse across disciplines. Students respond to societal, cultural, or political issues within diverse literary and expository works by developing written claims and researching, analyzing, and evaluating sources, following the conventions of academic writing. The central project is a thesis-driven, documented research essay. Prerequisites: ENG 101 - Writing and Research or ENG 101H - Writing and Research - Honors
