MATH109 — Mathematics of Business and Finance
3 Credit(s) This course introduces students to the mathematical concepts and skills used in business operations and personal financial management. Emphasis is placed on developing the ability to perform arithmetic operations, apply percent and proportion concepts, solve equations, and use business-related formulas to make practical financial decisions. Topics include whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percents, ratios, payroll, taxes, interest, present value, compound interest, banking transactions, discounts, depreciation, and financial statements.
