CAD 204 — SolidWorks II
/3 contact hours The course focuses on advanced modeling techniques and engineering drafting using the latest 3D SolidWorks Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software. Students will create 3D models and assemblies, analyze fits and interferences, and then extract 2D documentation from the 3D models and add details to the drawing to meet American Society of Engineers (ASME) Y14.5-2018 standards. Advanced software applications are explored including assembly modeling techniques, configurations, detail drawing generation, surfaces, multibody parts, additional work with sweeps and lofts, and preparation for the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam. Prerequisite(s): CAD 107 Core fulfilled: None
