/3 contact hours This hands–on course covers the fundamentals of cybersecurity. The topics discussed prepare students with skills needed in the field of cybersecurity. Students will learn about security threats and vulnerabilities, as well as managing, controlling, and protecting host systems and environments. Additional material covered include network infrastructure services, wireless security, and web/cloud security. Other topics such as penetration testing, risk management, disaster recovery, and incident response offer students a well–rounded knowledge base in cybersecurity protocols and standards. It can also serve as a base to students interested in getting industry–recognized certification. Prerequisite(s): None Core fulfilled: None
