LDR 120 — Effective Communication and Information Management
/3 contact hours This course will present the similarities and distinctions between communication and information. Leadership study requires an understanding of how the two relate in routine operations and crisis or conflict situations. The need for strategy, data and analysis, and how to leverage technology is examined. An understanding of organizational behavior will be reviewed as well as the effect of background and experience on clarity of understanding. The causes of intentional and unintentional distortion will be studied including ways to mitigate misunderstandings and encourage well-being. Prerequisite(s): None Core fulfilled: None
